Austin was introduced to the telecom industry by his father, Rick Stevens, who founded and later sold Stevens Communications Inc. to Dycom in 2000 and served on the board for 10+ years. Austin began his career with a subcontractor on one of Stevens Communication’s projects in Charleston, SC on a missile crew. It was during this time Austin developed a passion for the work and the unique characteristics of the telecom industry.
In 2013, Austin seized an opportunity to work in Kansas City for a sister company of his father's, Ervin Cable Construction. Within two years, Austin advanced from lineman to foreman and was the top producing line crew for the company for his last 2 years.
Inspired by his father's entrepreneurial spirit, Austin established Stevens Fiber Group LLC in January 2018, fulfilling his dream of starting his own company in the telecom industry.
Since its inception, Austin has expanded Stevens Fiber Group from one crew in 2018 to serving multiple customers across America today.
Randall entered the communications industry in 2000, starting at Schatz Underground as a laborer. Within a year and a half, he quickly advanced to roles as a heavy equipment operator and then a project foreman. During this time, he served several of the industry's largest communications providers and completed communication projects for the nation's military on bases across the country.
In 2013, Randall transitioned to Mastec Utility Services as a project manager and was swiftly promoted to area manager in 2014. He managed major contracts for providers like AT&T until 2018 when he assumed the role of President and co-owner of Skyvalt Communications LLC, a company he ran with his two sons, Drew and Dakota. Randall sold his interest in Skyvalt in 2020 and subsequently became an Operations Manager for Mears Group in Lenexa, KS. In this role, he was tasked with establishing a telecom division throughout the Midwest until 2023.
In April 2023, Randall joined Stevens Fiber Group as our Business Development Director. Randall strongly believes in building people rather than just a business, emphasizing that success is measured by the success of one's employees.
